Gosia Gajdemska

Choreographer, dancer, performer and dance educator

A graduate of choreography in Cracow/Poland, cultur animation at the University of Zielona Gora/Poland, instructor course “Improvisation movement and body symbolism” at the Institut für Tanz und Bewegungsdynamik in Essen/Germany and „Dynamic Body” Laban Movement Analysis Training at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.

Director of dance and theater projects  – with professional artists, children and youth, immigrants, blind and deaf people.

Gosia has worked with many institutions and artists in Poland and abroad, among others with Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, The National Culture Center,  Museum of Modern Art, Center on the Move, Zygmunt Hubner Powszechny Theatre, Mazovia Cultural Institute and Cultural Education Center and Art Gallery Fort Sokolnickiego in Warsaw, the Grotowski Institute in Wroclaw, Poste Restante Group in Stockholm, Plavo Pozoriste Theater in Belgrade, Tanzfabrik Berlin and Sophiensaele in Berlin.

Since 2014 a member of the Art Collective & Association Format Zero in Warsaw – engaged as a choreographer, dancer, curator.

In her works and workshops, Gosia combines a variety of techniques and styles of dance (contemporary, modern, CI, improvisation) with somatic practices and visual arts. For 5 years, she has also created site-specific dance-projects.

Currently Gosia works primarily with the theme choreography as a visual art form, image and identity.
